Why Tigertail Beach Is My Favorite Beach on Marco Island

There are so many beautiful beaches on Marco Island, but if you asked me to pick my favorite, it would be Tigertail Beach every time.

What makes Tigertail so special to me is that it feels a little more natural, rustic, and adventurous than some of the other beaches on the island. There’s something about arriving, heading down the shoreline, and walking farther and farther along the beach that makes you feel like you’re getting away from everything.

One of my favorite things about Tigertail is simply walking the beach. I love the feeling of having the sand beneath my feet, listening to the waves, and taking my time exploring. The farther you walk, the more peaceful and untouched it can feel. It’s not just about getting to a destination—it’s about enjoying the walk along the way.

And then there is the shelling!

If you love seashells, Tigertail is a place where you can easily lose track of time. I love walking along the water and looking down to see what the tide has brought in. There’s always that little bit of excitement wondering what you'll find next.

Tigertail also has a wonderfully rustic feeling that I really love. It doesn't feel overly commercial or perfectly manicured. It feels like you're experiencing the natural beauty of Marco Island—the sand, the shells, the water, the wildlife and the wide-open shoreline.

For me, that's what makes Tigertail different. It feels like an adventure. You can spend a few hours there walking, shelling, exploring, or simply sitting and taking in the scenery. And every visit can feel a little different depending on the tides, the weather and what the Gulf decides to leave behind.

As someone who loves Marco Island, Tigertail is one of those places that never gets old. It's peaceful, beautiful and just a little bit wild—and that's exactly what I love about it.

If you're visiting Marco Island, don't just visit Tigertail Beach—take the time to explore it. Walk a little farther. Look for shells. Take in the scenery. Slow down.

You might understand why it’s my favorite beach on Marco Island.
